ReGen Biologics believes that maintaining a physically active lifestyle is the key to long-term vitality.  As an orthopedic products company, ReGen provides minimally invasive implants and medical devices designed to facilitate new tissue growth to replace damaged or removed soft tissue. ReGen helps people regain mobility and return to a more vigorous lifestyle after sustaining torn or damaged meniscus cartilage.  ReGen's Menaflex™ collagen meniscus implant (formerly CMI^®) is a biologically-derived device engineered to guide new meniscus tissue formation and return the patient to a more active lifestyle.

Founded in 1990, ReGen is headquartered in Hackensack, New Jersey, and operates an ISO 13485 certified manufacturing facility in Redwood City, California. ReGen's biological remodeling scaffold can be applied to a variety of therapeutic applications.   The Company continues to develop and introduce tissue regrowth products based on its patented technologies.

ReGen's flagship product, the Menaflex™ collagen meniscus implant, is focused in orthopaedics.  It received FDA 510(k) clearance for use in the medial meniscus in the U.S. in December 2008 and has been sold in Europe and other countries for several years.  ReGen has completed enrollment and surgeries for a major Multicenter Clinical Trial in the United States. Two year and five year follow-up results from the Feasibility Study show decreased pain levels, increased activity levels and increased meniscus volume.  The five year follow-up shows a continuation of the trends reported at two years.  The five year Feasability Study results have been published by the journal Arthroscopy.  Based on these controlled studies, Menaflex has been proven safe and effective by the lack of clinically significant complications.

ReGen also sells the SharpShooter® Tissue Repair System, an arthroscopic device used for meniscus repair procedures, through a distribution agreement with Linvatec, a division of CONMED Corporation (NASDAQ: CNMD).
