ReGen Biologics Surgeons Successfully Complete Lateral CMIâ„¢Surgeries

FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ -- May 25, 2005 -- ReGen Biologics, Inc. (OTC:RGBI) announced the successful implantation of CMI™ devices in several patients with lateral meniscus injuries.  The CMI labeling in Europe was recently expanded to include use in the lateral meniscus, and the company has initiated a post-market surveillance as a precursor to a full market launch later this year.

Initial surgeries in Belgium, Italy, Germany, and Spain are being monitored and evaluated to refine the recommended surgical technique and build a patient database regarding the clinical benefits of the lateral CMI procedure.  A recent article in the Spanish publication Gaceta Medica describes one of the recent surgeries.  (The full text article can be accessed at About ReGen Biologics, Inc. here.)
